From the New Jersey Turnpike, take exit 7A onto I-195 West to Trenton. Follow I-195 West about eight miles to Route 29 North to Trenton. Follow Route 29 North through the tunnel and proceed about one mile and exit at Memorial Drive. Patriots Theater at the War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left.
Take Route 1 to Trenton. When Route 1 splits in Lawrence, stay left on Route 1 South to downtown Trenton. (Do not take Business Route 1 North to Trenton). From Route 1 South, exit at Market Street. Follow signs to Market Street (left at the first light and right at the next light). Take Market Street straight through several traffic lights to Route 29 North (bear left at the fork). Take Route 29 North and immediately take the next exit for Memorial Drive. The Patriots Theater at the War Memorial is at the end of the exit ramp on your left. |

The New Jersey State House is the second oldest state capitol still in active use and is a must see. It remains home to the State Legislature, the Governors office as well as various art exhibits on display. Daily tours are available Monday through Sunday. The New Jersey State Museum

This museum was established in 1895 with a mission to exhibit natural history, archeology and industrial history. In recent decades, the museum has added a planetarium, an auditorium as well as a fine arts collection. This is a great stop to learn about New Jersey’s history. Old Barracks Museum

The Old Barracks are a state and national landmark that was built during the French and Indian War and played a role in the Battle of Trenton (a turning point in the American Revolution). After years of disrepair, it was re-opened in 1903. Currently, the Old Barracks serve as an education center for colonial American history and is the last remaining structure of its kind. The Trenton Battle Monument

The Battle Monument commemorates the American victory at the first Battle of Trenton on December 26, 1776 and celebrates the pivotal victory for the Continental forces. The Trenton City Museum

The Trenton City Museum is located at Ellarslie Mansion and is host to artifacts and artwork. The second floor is a permanent gallery featuring a collection of tableware and artwork from the 19th and 20th centuries. The first floor serves as a venue for ever-changing contemporary art in all medias. The museum also has fine arts, decorative arts, industrial memorabilia and historical objects.
